I am so impressed with how this turned out. I ordered a matte black aluminum rear seat delete from Scott Rod Fabrications (Aluminum Engine Bay Panels, Rear Seat Deletes, Door Panels, and more for your Mustang) and it arrived yesterday. We spent the better part of last night and this morning installing them. Here are some pictures of the installation - it's about 95% complete (We still have to install the stock top filler panel). Check it out!

 

Damn that's a clean install - I thought the bottem two pictures were from the dealer website they look that good. Wicked.

 

Thanks AP! We're really happy with how it came out. I'm just hoping we get the top filler panel installed just as clean - it looks so good right now I'm nervous to mess it up! LOL. Ill just measure twice and drill once and hope for the best! If not, a new set of panels is just an order away! LOL

I was thinking about sending the 6-er out to get painted before she gets settled in the garage for major engine mods over the winter. The shop would need the car for 3 to 4 weeks. That means that she would be home some time in November - and sitting through the winter in an unheated garage. My worry is with the paint - will it cure ok in cold temperatures? Should we wait till spring?

 

I'm just guessing here, but I think the cure time would be shorter in the warmer weather, but as long as the paint could "breathe" , and was sitting in storage, you should be good to go in the cooler temps. I don't think it's a good idea to cover up new paint (like during winter storage), so that might be something to consider. That's the view from the cheap seats, not sure how right it is.
