Agreed try getting a Programmer/chip i didnt see that on your list of mods but if you dont have one already it will give you a few pony's now and you WILL need it later when the KB shows up.maybe that new SCT livewire?

The sample tube sits inside on the MAF and is calabrated. So you need to have the right ones for your injectors.

but save your money.....you don't need it right now

I ran a stock MAF until this year (went to a 90mm from a 70mm).....and ran the stock MAF with the KB at 6psi with 36lb injectors

I couldn't give you an accurate/technical description for why....but suffice to say the stocker was sufficient.....while the 90mm was optimum

if you think swapping to a bigger MAF while NA will give you automatic HP....it won't....a bigger MAF is all about capacity within the tune, and it's needed when your combo depends on it ....your's doesn't at this point

save your money
This is correct. You do want to free up air for a better fuel to air ratio. But like 2000 said, if you go too big, you get too much air, you are just going to get alot of misfireing and stalling. unless you switch your injectors. A good Idea is if you increase the airflow, you should calibrate the fuel.

There is no use getting a MAF on a 96-04 Vehicle. You will only need this when adding a blower because the mass air meter will saturate (peg) and no longer have the ability to read air going into the motor.

Even going with a C&L calibrated for stock injectors will need tuning. I would never run anything but ford/sct meter on any vehicle.

90mm meter is perfect for a blower car.

5.0 car's were equipped with tiny mass air meters and benefit from going to a larger housing. We run 99-04GT 80mm GT meters on all 5.0 non power adder vehicles.
