Hah Ha,I like how you think,

I wasn't home an hour and I was at them.

Thanks on the clean compliment. There isn't a mark inside. I look around and am still amazed.

This car sat outside the deaslership here all winter. It had a dummy spare on the front and noone looked at it.

When I cleaned it up I honestly couldn't find a mark on the sides or back.

There are a couple of chips that have been painted on the edge of the hood

40,000 kms and I got it for 15. I guess thats why I am so happy, because I can spend $ on it and still not have a fortune invested.

Thanks for the welcome.

That says a lot about a site when the moderators reply.

I got caught up in the look of that 80 Corvette, but it wasn't much of a car on any level.

I got the mid-life crisis crap from most people I knew when I got my 05. I still get the same crap from younger men when I go to 'Show and Shines" or road events. There is an underlying current out there that seems to feel that the only people that should be owning Mustangs and driving them is young men 18-30, slim muscular build, with Jan Michael Vincent hair and with some young female hot body sitting in the passenger seat.

I bought the 05 simply because if reminded me of 1968-1969. I have had mustangs before, a 1984 and 1998. Mustangs are nothing new for me. There are some mustangs that really excited me and there are some like the 1980 (fuel saver version) that did nothing for me at all.

What car you want quite simply is a matter of personal choice...don't let others give you the gears over your choice. I am 58 in a month and I still go "ga ga" over the 2005-2009 series Mustang. The design of the 2010-2012 does nothing for me at all, but having said that I do like the engine in the 2012 V6.

Spend your money how you like and be damned the others! That is a sharp Mustang you purchased, congrats!

I have heard from some that Corvettes advertised their tq back in the late 70's and early 80's because the hp number was so low ie 180 I think

What he said. I am nearly 63 and my current '06 Limer is my pride and joy and gets a lot of notice at local shows, so do what makes YOU happy, **** on the rest.

I hear you guys, I will be 50 in December, and have had a passion for cars since I can remember.

We raised 5 wonderful children and I always said when the youngest graduated I would be seeking another toy.

I guess something really makes you think when you see them all grown up.

Our oldest Got married this past May.

Then in June our youngest Boy graduated.

Thats his older Brother's truck he let him take to Prom.

He is really loving giving it to me about buying a Ford.

Nice to see some other members my generation enjoying these cars as well.

Lorne.
