I bought a brand new 1981 Camaro and put snow tires on it in the winter. Drove it for about 9 years. I know its not a Mustang, but its in the same ballpark size wise. Didn't have too much of a problem unless the snow was hitting the underside.
Welcome.

As said earlier, most choose not to drive them in the winter but with good tires, some weight in the trunk, and a little patience you wshould be fine.

Yeah I've driven lots of rwd vehicles in the winter.....back in the day we didnt have much for choices, everything was rwd. Anyway, like I said earlier, it isnt a lot of fun, and where I live, good luck trying it now a days, because the only street cleanup in the winter, is us guys packing the snow down in our 4x4's

so all in all, Yes it can be done, but the first snow storm that drops 10 inches of snow, is gonna be a bitch. In my case I just turn the dial to 4 high

Well here in the centre of the universe we do have snow removal and besides we very seldom have 10" dumpers. I didn't say never but usually don't get 10" at a time, unless you live in the London area.

That's it exactly ... in the GTA, 4 winters on a Mustang will get you through most of the time. In Saskatchewan, I would be parking it for 6 or 7 months too.

cheers

With Calgary being so hilly you need to plan your route wisely

Back in '95 I tried driving my 95 GT one winter. Big mistake, even with 4 Blizzaks. Black ice and freezing rain Vs Mustang GT. Ice and rain won. Now I park em.
