That doesn't make sense, the T5 is also used in the Camaro and S10, it's not a "Ford Specific" transmission.

I would check for excessive wear on the yoke. I've twisted one, and grenaded another, but it could be the yoke OR the "sleeve bushing" that is inside the tail stock that is supposed to keep the slack out of the front yoke that is worn. The bushing just looks like a big brass sleeve inside the tailstock and runs for about 4" around the output shaft to keep things "tight", I can't see it being very difficult to replace.

The reason I said in the the quoted post "U-joints seizing up" would cause vibrations to wear out the tail stock bushing because of the slake/play in the DS.
Yes the tranny shop was quite aware of the tranny being the same as the camaro/S10 T5 my guess is the tool wouldn't fit in the mustang....cause when I brought the tail stock to him he had the collet and seal replaced in under 2 minutes. So my guess is that he had replaced then before.

See lets go beck to the vibrations part....
He thought that since I had vibrations, he automatically assumed it was U-joints...witch he was damn near right on. When I first got the car it had SERIOUS ISSUES....I bought it from Toronto and it was hacked/cobbled together badly, the only thing that was damn near perfect was the interior and still is.
So anyways I decided why not change the u-joint....I'm sure the ones that are in it had a hard life boy oh boy was I ever wrong!
The only thing that had a hard life was the ends that attach to the DS output shaft/flange. Who ever done the u-joints in it previously is a HACK! cause they used some sort of epoxy to hold the u-joints in cause "THEY BROKE" the housing were those c-clips pop in to hold the u-joint from falling out.
Yeah that was a long day. Put it this way in order for me to get it out of the shop I had to WELD the u-joints in place to drive it home.
As long as I wasnt revving threw the moon and wasnt doing over 80km/h I was fine, but other wise It had bad vibrations cause of the weld from the pull of the heat/unbalanced.

So when I installed my new aluminin drive shaft and had the seal/collet replaced all problems were fixed.

LMAO!!!!!!!!! Keith, it sounds like you had one hell of a friggin' adventure!!!!!!!!!!!!

So from the sounds of it, you DID have your tailstock bushing replaced?

Yes also along with the seal. NOW I think I have a bent axle.....it never ends!

One of two things are gonna happen either I sell it, or im gonna get pissed off and completely cage and tub the outa it!
