ok, done with mocking, it's all bolted up for good now. it turns over no problem, even the trunk mount did slow that down, but she won't start. at first i thought it was the used paxton afpr i bought because it was spewing gas everywhere, even sucking it out the vacuum port. the diaphram in it is shot. so i tosed my old stocker back on just to try and get it running and still no go. i did a lot of wiring lately, but i double checked all the wiring for the MSD 6BTM and it looks good. i'll test for spark tomorrow after work and if there isn't any i will bypass the msd first to eliminate that. also moved a lot of wires, going to have to check all my grounds again. what a pita. anyways, here's the final product pic.

I just read this thread from start to where you left off looks good man build on a budget ive been watching these "junkyard boost" articles and am very interested what would one of those turbo's of yourse make for boost? would a single turbo be alot easyier set up? But then the price of a bigger turbo is probably way more expensive...... nice job man bling under the hood or a fancy paint job dont make it go i wanna see some vids of that car at the track!

I single turbo would be more complicated on the hot-side piping, but easier on the cold side. You'd only need 1 oil feed and return, and you don't need to clear as much room in the engine bay. However BIG turbos aren't cheap, but neither is doing everything twice. It's six of one and half dozen of another. Take your pic and start collecting parts.

What would be a good car for to find a turbo in? Dodge lazer or daytona ,
Saab, volvo? i was at pick a part edmonton yesterday didnt see any ford vehicles that were turbo'd i dont have the cash free all at once to go buy a kenne bell or a
procharger.........i seen a guy at the track on friday night with a Hellion set up and it didnt look that complicated but i know they are mega expensive.
Sorry i dont mean to hijack im just very interested in your build and felt like picking your brain

omg - i never updated this thread lol
problem was firing order -

since that last update i added more ic piping as i blew that factory flex piece up



took her to the track and raced real street at windsor weekend this summer. made the drive all the way up to grand bend from windsor and back without issue...rained the whole day and track was slicker than slick. i had crappy tire radials on so my traction just sucked. got one pass in....blew an intercooler hose off the passenger side turbo at the 1000ft mark and almost hit the wall when it nose over and went into a bit of a high speed wobble....still coasted to a 13.1@115.42
couldn't make any other passes because the rules for real steet are that you can't pop your hood between runs so i couldn't fix it...it's definitely got the mph for mid 11 seconds on a sticky tire.

i have since picked up a C4 so i can build boost at the line and keep her spooled between shifts and i may pick up a megasquirt so i can tune for the bigger injectors and stop running so fat

Dude this is an amazing thread!
I am thinking about picking up a 85 mustang and pretty much doing the same as you plus a few bucks. How much harder would it be to get the weld guy to incorporate some waste gates because I will want to run newer big TT setup...
I am so glad I found this thread it will help me out so much!
