There is something about opening the trunk at the races and opening the bottle. The reaction and attention you get from people is worth the set up alone. Turbo makes the most sense and power but tends to kill the 5.0 rumble. Superchargers are okay I guess. I would still love to have a 500hp all motor drinking gas under my hood.

for track use - turbo
for street use - super

There is something about pulling up beside a guy revving the motor and hearing the blow off valve give that big "psshheew" sound. Nitrous is cool, but how about opening the hood to see a sheet metal intake and a big ass turbo sitting beside the motor.

But were all different, and have different tastes ;)

I'd just figure that he was trying to get my attention over the thump of my compression and cam lope. :D

No argument with that Speedtospare, fact is I can't afford any of them!

you can get BOV's for superchargers too though

i am running a 1G DSM BOV on my supercharger setup. Not for sound, but to protect the impeller when i close the throttle at high boost/rpm levels.

s/c and turbo are tied...
me personally I like the s/c...power on demand kind of thing...even though I know the newer Turbos take less time now to make boost...still s/c for me...

Remeber not all s/c make boost instantly. Only the positive displacement type make instant boost, Centrifugal make little or no boost in the lower RPMs. Boost will increase with rpm. Same with turbo. If you have a large turbo, you may not be able to spool it until 4000 RPM, agin little boost untill 4000 and then it like being hit by a freight train.

Thats very true. The important thing to do is match the turbo to your needs. Alot of the newer turbos that are matched right, will hit peak boost by as low as 2500-3000 rpm. A centrifugals as stated above, build boost with RPM.

Roots are awesome! :tup

all have their pros and cons though.
