yup lol.i did get my titanium valves (sb2 chevy nascar 358cid valves)off to the machine shop for some mods so they will work in the v6 head.they need to be cut from 2.17" down to 1.90" and shotened with a new hardened tip and new lock groove machined in.:chacha:gonna be the only set of ti valves for the 4.0 in existance.talk about a weight difference!almost one pound of weight difference in a full set of intakes and exhaust.that's alot for fast moving parts.

^^^^ Impressive!!:tup

SNAKEBITE 11-21-2011 10:14 AM

I do hear that every lb saved is a wee bit of time off the 1/4 time.

rampant racing 11-21-2011 10:30 AM

weight off the valvetrain means alot more than that .it makes the engine alot more durable with lighter parts on the inside.it will allow the engine to rev alot faster and make power sooner.

rampant racing 11-24-2011 05:58 AM

rods are coming home today!oh boy oh boy oh boy!

ex91 11-24-2011 05:59 AM

Easy gary down boy down boy.

rampant racing 11-24-2011 10:55 PM

rods are home and i fit them to the pistons with ease.full floating pins are nice to work with.no more buying till after the holidays.well unless there is a great deal on something i need, lol.

that's some nice looking stuff you have there

rampant racing 11-28-2011 08:51 AM

spoke to moldex cranks today and they can make me a billet crank for $2750.00.now to find out if the block will hold.lol

SNAKEBITE 11-28-2011 05:19 PM

wow what will that do for your hp number?

roddy 11-28-2011 06:03 PM

It is more for durability than making horse power. Gary will be testing the limits of the 4.0 with the boost/hp that he hopes to run, and a stronger crank will help keep all those nice parts inside the engine.

don't you know it roddy!lol:chacha:

SNAKEBITE 11-29-2011 11:24 AM

durability is a good thing for RR
