Snakebite whose fast Ed and what do have under the hood. We bought and 08 mustang ordered it with all the bells and whistles except motor v6 it's my wife's car she loves it and so does my youngest son who is 17. Me I like it but but even if I close my eyes its not the same as the 70 boss I had when I was young I still remember exactly how I felt behind the wheel of that car I loved it just ask my wife she was my girlfriend then she says I loved that car more than her and I tell her she's still here and all that is left of car is great memories

Sorry Browns wasn't able to help you out. I'll look around and see if I can find any solutions. What is the current set-up for the clutch (cable or linkage)? Can you take some measurements form your existing transmission? Overall length (with and w/o bellhousing), shifter location and trans mount location (from where the trans and bellhousing mate)?

The following links may or may not be useful, but I'll toss 'em out there:

http://www.mustangii.com/manual_trans_codes.asp
http://www.mustangii.net/forums/default.asp
http://www.triumphspitfire.com/schwartz.html

And when you get it up and running:

There's a wrecker near me that has stuff dating back a long way. I don't remember seeing any manual Mustang IIs or Ford Capris in his yard, but I'll give him a shout tomorrow and pick his brain.

Called Randy today... He's got a couple of old school buses full of transmissions to look through. Said he'd give me a shout if he comes up with anything, and I'll pass along any info I get.

Thanks for the + Snakebite, but it's not much help if it doesn't end in a solution. When Tops off can get some measurements or casting/part numbers, that may make things a little easier.
