Update, I went to see the dealer and they were able to reproduce the problem. They spraid the car with a hose and the car did the same thing. Now they have everything on computer and they sent the file to Ford Canada. They never seen this kind of problem so I guess they are going in the right direction. One I get the car back, I will be able to install all the decals I bought and take a picture with the Ducati. I keep you updated on their findings.

 

I got half a good news, the Dealer spayed the car down with a hose and were able to reproduce the problem so they sent the computer file to Ford Canada as they never seen this problem. When I get my car back, I will take a picture with my Ducati. I will let you guys know about their findings.

Well, I thought I would give you an update. My car is still at the dealer. I owned it for 3 weeks and only drove it 2 days. Still with the electrical problem. They are in contact with the engineers at Ford Canada and they are changing almost all the electrical wires. They changed 17 sensors so far and they still have the electrical problems. I don't know if I want the car back now, what will it be when the warranty is over? At least they are lending me a car. I think that I got a lemon...

 

Man, that is miserable. Keep after them until they get it right and maybe push for an extended warranty, especially for electrical issues. Too bad we don't have 'lemon laws' in Canada. In the US you would be looking at a new car.

I had a vibration issue with my then new 2012 'vert and I just kept on them until they finally fixed the problem (it took months). Don't give up!

 

That really is terrible. If you make a call to Ford customer Assistance and get them involved it may be worth your while.

 

I didn't know if there where lemon laws is Canada or not, thanks for that, really wish there was.

 

Though there aren't technically lemon laws, if a car under warranty has excessive issues, CAMVAP can get involved and force a manufacturer buy back.
