I never pull the battery off mine but I do hook up a trickle charger to it.
Keeps the battery healthy.
Also, some advice to you if you do pull the battery.
I am assuming that your car is not a convertible (hard to tell from your avatar).
If it is a coupe then you notice when you open the door the window drops down a little and pops back up when you close it.
If you take the battery out then do not fully close the hood of your car after you do. Just leave it down but not fully latched.
If you do close it fully then when you go to open the car door the window will not drop down so you can get into the car. I think you can still force the door open but I have seen this issue on the boards and some have issues afterward.

Open both doors then take your battery out. This will leave your windows open just slightly and this way if you need into your car for whatever reason it's not an issue. This is assuming your car is stored indoors.

I do nothing with the exception of park it in the garage. When the weather is a bit better, i fire it up.
No stabilizer, no jacks, certainly no windows down. Did that with one car and had a hell of a mess cleaning up chewed wires and 1 dead mouse out of the car.

One last thing; leave a radio ON tuned to Q107,mustangs like rock music,
especially when left in a garage for the winter months!
Better yet, if you know any cute chicks,invite them over to "whisper sweet nothings" to the stang,that will keep her happy and in top form
