No biggie on the outside thing, just clay/polish/wax in the spring and good as new

 

Thought of that, but no room. Cars are close to each other in the parking lot...sucks!!!

Definitely gets a clay/polish/wax in the spring for sure.

I do not trust those portable tents

 

I am a new mustang owner and have been following all of the ideas for winter storage. I have been told it is a good idea to release the pressure on the top. Any ideas on this would be appreciated

 

I agree 100%. One strong gust of wind the wrong way and you might wake up to anything from a small scratch to a major collapse of the whole "garage".

 

The concern I presume is shrinkage due to cold causing stress on top. I store mine in an unheated attached garage with top up for 6 years now and see no signs of problems. Top still looks like new.

A bigger concern for me is making sure it is stored with the hood open(cracked) so you have access if battery dies. Can't open doors if battery dies without doing some harm to the window/top seals.

Weird as I pull my battery and just use my key in the door to open. I just took my painkillers so maybe I am missing something

 

Ahhh...I'm referring to a convertible. The window automatically comes down a wee bit when you pull the door handle to open it so it will clear the top seal. When battery dies this doesn't happen and window is tight up in the top seal. If you pull door open you either damage seal or window or both.

 

Is it possible to leave the window down a crack?.... Just incase.
