Mine ran a 16.9 when I first got it, completely stock. Now I've been having a huge bogging issue and ran a best of 17.6 when I went to the track, although it was pretty damn hot out. I think there's something wrong with my transmission, since when I was launching it would barely get moving. I hit 89mph by the end of the 1/4 though.. which was about the same as people in the low 16s.
Oh well, the new engine, transmission and rear end should fix all that. I already have the 8.8" posi rear end with 3.55 gears in it ready to install on Monday once I pick up some fluid. That should get me back in the 16s over my 2.73 gears.

If they ever called me in to get it checked or if I got in an accident they would. They took a picture of my engine bay when I got it insured. I guess it's how they handle an 18 year old(at the time) male with an extremely high powered V6 Mustang.
Once I can afford the insurance, if I don't outright buy a GT or Cobra, I have a 5.0 and a 4.6 DOHC available to me if I want to buy it off my brother. He's planning on making his 4.6 DOHC into a 5.0 stroker and pulling his other one out, so I would get that one if I had the funds. The 5.0 would pretty much be given to me since it needs a rebuild.. 380,000 KMs on it.

They told me that they would have to see my car before the policy was fully activated. The thing is, it's under my parent's so it's cheaper for me right now but any screw ups could result in their policy being cancelled. It's Allstate btw. Once I have it on my own, they'll be the last people I call, if ever.

OMG No LUBE EITHER. Youch!
For that price, it would be cheaper to by a V6 model and put a V8 init and not tell them.

I love the V8 nothing beats the sound of a V8. But I choose the V6 cause its a challenge, nothign against the V8 but there are sooooooo many parts out there to choose from the hardest part is decidiing which ones to get. For the V6 there are no aftermarket parts, just a few bolt on mods and a couple blower packages. No aftermarket heads, just reground cams, no aftermarket cranks, we use V8 forged rods.
When a V6 goes 13's its pretty impressinve right? BUt a V8 that does 13's is normal, heck the new GT's can almost run that STOCK. 13's in a 94 stang is shaving 4 seconds off the stock times, 4 sec of a stock 5.0' woudl be 11's which then would be impressive. So its all about perspective ont he 1/4 mile times.
BUt like I said its a challenge with limited aftermarket parts, we have guys fabbing up thier own intakes and custom turbo setups cause thats how they have to do it, we port the stock heads and enlarge the valves cause thats all we can do, so mich less to work on and takes more work. I love it.
BUt sadly never will be get the cool sound of the 5.0L :cry2:

And nothing beats the look on people's faces when you tell them that you have a V6 after you smoked them
For my install I'm basically down to installing the rear end (Monday), welding up and installing the exhaust (hopefully this week), installing the fuel pump (Monday, I hope), installing the cam once I get it, popping the engine in and getting a tune for the chip. Not too much now that I think of it, only object is money and having my car on the road after this week (March Break) and until April 13th when I graduate. After that once I have the cash, I'll definately have the time.
I must get revenge for the embarassment I suffered at the Test & Tune at St. Thomas during the JCO Bash last summer. I hate showing this video but here it is
