Second get off this "If you had spent that much on a V8 you could be that much faster" crap, on a USED car yes but when you go buy a new mustang the GT is $5 grand+ more then a V6, I can slap on a Procharger and keep up with your GT and still have spent LESS. When you are referring to buying an old used Fox 5.0L sure its cheaper to go the 5.0L route, agreed.

Don't tell me why i bought my V6 I know why, you don't. I used to own an 88 5.0L notchback. I do'nt work on my V6 to keep up with GT's or Cobra's I do it cause I like to, its a challenge and something not many others do, its different. Is there a problem with that? Or are you just jealous cause there are V6's running faster then you? :cry2: :laughhard

Beat you on a level playing field? Name two modifed cars that are identical and then we will talk about a level playing field. Even driver weights can change the outcome of a race so there will NEVER be a level playing field, thats the joy of drag raings its bring what ya brung racing.

In the long run a V8 will ALWAYS outrun a V6 when it comes to who has the most money to spend, you can always spend more ont he V8 to get it to go faster, "No replacement for Displancement" is very true, but that doesn't mean V6's can't compete. Go to Performacne world and check out the 1186 RWHP Twin Turbo V6 Grand National, tell me thats not impressive? Heck more impressive then a V8 that runs 8? Dmn straight it is.

I don't see anyone raggin on V8 guys for comparing yourselves to Vipers, everyone is always impressed when a Cobra outruns a viper or something, thats not fair though is it? After all the viper has 2 more cylinder then Mustangs GT's and Cobra's.

You like your V8 thats cool, so do I, I love the V8, the sound the power, its awesome, but I also love the V6 and the challenge it imposes. SO live with it.
I re-read your post and yes I may have been a little jumpy. Now after reading your reply, these are my thoughts.

Your opinion and you and your car for that matter does not mean anything to me. I do not get on here to put people down or to argue. I did not tell you what or what you could or could not do with your car.

I agree V6's are nice and all.

Please do not tell me to do anything like "Get off this" or "live with it" or whatever sarcastic remark you have. I will not argue and get kicked off here over this or anyones comments. Thank you. Have a great day bud.

You told me right there why I bought my V6, plus you were saying how I could spend just as much on a GT and be fater, all V8 guys say that, but you forget you spend more on the V8 to start with so really you still have spent more without modding it at all.

O am not trying to make enemies here, sorry if I came off that way, I just hate it when people DIS the V6 and say they suck, ( I know you didn't use those exact words) but thats the way you came off.

Its all cool, we all mod are cars for the same reason and thats what counts.

I bought mine because it was what I could afford and it was better than a Honda, Neon, Cavalier, etc. Even if it wasn't as fast, I would pick it any day over those cars. Yes, it takes more work to make them fast, but if you can find good deals and are able to do some custom work, you can get it going quick for cheap. I sure as hell know I wouldn't be able to find an ENTIRE CAR with a supercharged V8 like I did find my supercharged V6 for $500. Sold over $1000 worth of parts off the car and bingo, great deal.

I agree with the enemies, I don't want any on here. I also agree on the V6 mods and the less money.

Have a good day and thank you for the reply. I am sure if I saw you with your car I would go WOW , nice job. Peace.

My friends all wanted me to buy a Cavalier. No thanks! Another factor with that is it's FWD and I don't think I can stand to drive FWD ever again. It's just not as fun!

The Mustang just compliments the rest of the cars we own.

1986 Lincoln Mark VII (no engine, going to the junkers)
1987 Thunderbird Turbocoupe (mine & my brother's)
1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC (brother's project)
1990 Thunderbird Supercoupe (mine.. what's left of it..)
1993 Lincoln Mark VIII (brother's)
1994 Lincoln Mark VIII (dad's)
1994 Mustang V6 (mine)
1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC (brother's)

Love the mark 8. At 240 lbs and 6 ft tall believe me I do not fit in the z-24 very comfortably. In 10 days we are driving to Calgary -should be fun NOT. It is a nice car for her though.

Why a V6. Well mainly its the money issue. I don't have alot, with a divorce under mybelt, and loans . I drove my 90 LX stang into the railing outbound on 102 from bayers rd (halifax) and my fiancee said she rather see me driver a newer car (my 90LX calipers locked up causing the 360 on snow roads) and of course I wanted a MUSTANG, so off to steele ford to see what they had .
And I fell in love with my now 99 Silver V6. When you go from a 88HP Auto to a 193 HP Standard, you feel like you jumped in a GT. I think its got great miliage, its fun cause its a standard, not to many people know its not V8 nor care, it always gets looks, I can peel rubber if i want with it, its ready for mods, and has AC and Cruise.

heres my V6 cardomain I had if anyone wants to check it out www.cardomain.com/id/mustangguy99

You might see it driving around in Burlington now, a guy my age bought it from the Ford dealership I traded it into.
