well it's time for a weeee lil update, managed to get some time to put into the stang. took the headers off yesterday afternoon, and due to crummy *** weather today.. the exhaust is almost off (just waiting for another clear half hour to get the last hook in the rear. also FINALLY picking up an engine hoist to pull the 4.2 out. we also decided that the tranny might as well come out seeing we're trying to cut back on a little bit of weight seeing we have to push the car uphill lol.

the bad news... got my official quote from our collision shop.. ouchie.. 3k easy. max 5 given small parts that may come up. as normal i'm fairly skeptic about it. still concidering keeping it. big issue is the face that i wont get nothing for it otherwise lol. so it stays in the back yeard as i wrench away at it. but i'm also looking into finding a US GT and swaping everything over to that. (i refuse to leave my 99-04 style ) i dunno what to do, so i'm taking opinions right now. and yea saddly the civic stays unless i find a cobra haha

I say keep it. Strip it and have the shop repair the frame. Go to the wreckers and pick up proper panels and REBUILD IT MAN. Do it yourself. It's not costing you any money in your backyard anyways. Do it slowly and make a project out of it.

That's what I thinking I'm gunna do. And like anyone else here, I'd muc rather see the car come back to life than have it crushed.. but I'm second thinking my engine choice tho.. (haha again changing my mind) my friend with the Mach 1 is giving up and just going in for a 2011 gt with the 5L so I might end up with a macher setup if I play things right. Going to see if I can't do payments on the framework and just get it all done and out of the way. Don (the collision guy) says I might as well go all in and fix up the car, or find a us one. So I'm spending the week thinking it over and seeing what I can do. I know it won't be cheap, but as it always goes, you gotta pay to play.
Mach 1 with forged internals runnin spray... I like

time is on your side. i know you want to get into a stang again but you need to figure what you want and stick to it! it might cost some money up front but you will love it in the end and not regret spending the money

I agree.Just get them to repair the frame, and rad support damage,or what ever else that is part of the structure that was damaged.Everything else you can do yourself with the help of online forum classifieds, and wreckers.
You will save yourselve a tone that way.I wish we lived closer to each other.I would love to give you a hand, all you would need to do is buy the pizza, and drinks to keep us going.

haha thanks, everyone. yea i'm gunna keep the car, i think i just got a little overwhelmed with it all. but yea maybe i should move out to ontario, be quite a bit easier that's for sure. but as it is, with the army not accepting any applications at all i'm again looking for better work. the dealership i'm at is ok, but it's pretty slim pickins here and will prob end up in kelowna. lol and i need to get away from the ex for a bit.
but on a lighter note, i think i'm gunna make the call and go with the frame work. lol just get er done this summer and start off there.

Damn... Kinda wishing that I was out there... Haha well I'm single again so maybe I should! But in reality I'll at least bring the beast out east after I finish off the beast. I got family and friends out there I have to visit. Plus you guys!
