OK,

IF you are going to repaint, and money isn't much of a hinderance, go with poly-urethane base/clear. It's more expensive, but worth every cent. I used to know a guy who had his Grand National repainted (it had bad paint from the factory) using it, it was unbelievably deep in shine and depth and it is extremely hard so it resists stone chips. Definitely what I will use if and when my Mustang ever gets re-painted.

I'd keep the stock taillights personally because I love the contrast of the 2 different colors. Just kind of pops ya know?

well the stang will end up with a Saleen body kit from the looks of things. waaay cheaper than buying cobra parts and yea she's getting a total repaint eventually. and i'll have to look into that.. cause chips are kinda my pet peeve lol

Got to do what you got to do to at least make it a roller.LOL!All the goodies can be had again later.Especially since you have a change in plans with styling.

well thats what i was thinking, the engine is getting either replaced or at least rebuilt with forged internals. a saleen kit, redone interior, lol yea there's a bit planned for the old girl.
actually wanted to ask you. what size rims/tires are you running?

You got a good plan going!
I'm running 18X9 18 X10 rims with 265/35 18 up front, and 285/35/18 out back, but plan on going to 305/35/18 Nitto Drag's out back when the funds allow. The 285's are kinda narrow, most guys run 295/35/18 or 305/35/18 out back.Deepends on the tire manufacture for either of those two sizes.

yea i was kinda wondering cause it seems to fill in those fenders perfectly. and although the 17's were nice.. i think 18's are for sure the way to go. and i agree with 305's on the rear, would be what i'm gunna look into. but 265's up front? lol i was running 245's and thought they were almost too wide looking. as for the type of tire. i'm pretty sure it'll either be nitto nt555's or BFG KDW2's
on another note. was kinda just surfin around for different wheel sizes, and i'm not too sure i wanna go with the FR500's anymore. prob still will. but i saw that american muscle sells replica 2010 GT500 wheels in 18x9, and 18x10... best part: they also come in black
