It's my birthday!!! And I spent some time today working on the Mustang. The dash was lookin pretty stock, and the radio was kaput (to say the least). She's been without music for quite some time so I decided today was the day we were going to put the "boom boom" back into the "vroom vroom"!

First, gauges. She's gonna need em once the blower gets here (and I don't like taking things apart twice) so I threw them in. I used the same set up thats in the 5.0 and ordered us a custom mounting plate from Custom Performance ....

... and installed our AutoMeter guages. The guages are inplace and the wiring is run through, but they're not hooked up yet. No blower and no wideband air / fuel sensor means that gauge hook up has to wait. This is what she looks like ...

Next, for some sweet sweet music. This is the deck I'm installing ...

... and, by the power of the internet ..... she's all done. Fully installed. I can't believe there is a TV in the car. I decided to go ahead and install the manufacturer safety device - no TV unless the parking brake is active. Here are some pictures of the installation complete.

Here's a close up of just the TV part of the deck (taken from my blackberry) - don't make fun of me ...... that's my daughters DVD in there. For an in-car TV, not bad at all!

Are there any members that are good with fiberglass? Any close to the GTA? I'm thinking of some custom fiberglass work for this build!

I'm pretty psyched right now! The LAST of our suspension / chassis parts arrived today.

Allow me to introduce our new BBK Subframe Connectors ...

I originally ordered them as they got good reviews but was somewhat dissappointed when I learned from 1LOW03GT of the downfalls of bolt on subframe connectors .... thankfully, one call to Latemodel Restoration Supply and I learned that these ones can be bolted on OR welded on. Phew!

I did pick up a litte something extra as well for this pony. I ordered a set of these ....

... to fix this ...

From what we've read 1 inch spacers are exactly what we need to push these rims out and get rid of that tucked in rim look that SN95's are infamous for.

Well, it's off to our local frame shop tomorrow to make sure this chassis is 100% factory spec before we start bolting on all these goodies. We can't wait to start tearing this suspension apart and start installing. With all these goodies, do you blame us?

What a great project man - always loved the look of the Autometer products, had one of thier tach's and a set of the trio gauges in my old Nova back in the day and loved it. This is becoming an epic build thread - way to go.

Hey guys,

It's been a while since my last update so here goes ....

The Mustang came back from the frame shop. This pony is straight as a board!

Over the last few evenings, mini-VAEM and I have been tearing apart the V6 and building her back up. Mostly working on the front end right now. So far, we've installed the ...

- Tokiko D-Spec Adjustable Shocks & Struts
- Ford Racing 03/04 Cobra Style Front Lower Control Arms
- Steeda Tubular Front Swaybar & Endlinks
- Steeda X2 Balljoints
- Steeda Bumpsteer Kit
- Ford Front Wheel Bearings

Here's a picture of what it looks like so far ..... (Sorry for the picture quality, it was taken from my Blackberry)

Things are going pretty good! mini-VAEM is really having fun and learning a lot. A few more days and this suspension will be fully installed and ready for an alignment! I'll let you know how the rest of the installation goes ..... I have LOTS more pictures for you guys!
